Many family and friends are doing things to stay connected with one another during these days of COVID-19 restrictions. Friday night online-trivia is one example I saw recently. Pre-dinner family catch up via zoom is popular with some families. There are many media that make it easy to send a text message or snap a photo and share or turn on a computer and have a conversation. You might like to share with us what you are doing to stay connected. It may be as simple as a phone call to a neighbour. Whatever it is we would love to hear from you. Here are some ways that you might chose to stay in contact with us:
Our weekly newsletter is now online. In the coming weeks we will be renewing our newsletter to enable you to more easily read and respond to our news via your computer or mobile device. We will be expanding our distribution list so make sure that those in your household or your friends who would like to receive our newsletter have their updated email details with the parish office.
Our Eastern Central Catholic Parishes Facebook group is up and running with almost 30 people joining on day one. You might like to join in the discussions and exchanges that are happening on that site. This is a great opportunity to share your story, your life and your experiences and hopes for the life of our church.
Each week you can find a number of liturgical offerings from our parish including our Online Mass, Spending Time with the Word and Children’s Liturgy of the Word resources.
You can leave a message on the contact us section of our website
You can simply ring the parish office and leave a message. Someone will get back to you.
Keeping connected is so important at this time so let’s all make that extra effort to stay in touch and look out for each other. And even when we are on our own we can pray over our guiding scripture passage each day:
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11)
